The Tornado was primarily used for nuclear or conventional bombing missions and reconnaissance. It was also the first jet bomber capable of carrying a nuclear bomb. With a top speed of 570 mph and a range of 1000 miles, the B-45 was a formidable force in its time. It was also known as 'Nightbird' when used in night missions.
